The Evolution in Writing for ENGL 21007 

In English class 21007 the class along with the professor showed me that being a writer is much harder in many ways than others. It takes a lot to understand the writing aspect and be able to write a well-written sentence. Throughout my time in the class, I have learned many skills that helped me improve in writing and as a reviser for people’s work so they know what needs to be changed or what is good and doesn’t need to be changed. Learning different kinds of skills in this course helped me a lot not only as a writer but as a person as well. In the course, we learned to socialize with other writers and build a bond with them in group work to understand each other and understand each other’s writing. 

how you negotiate your own writing goals and audience expectations regarding conventions of genre, medium, and rhetorical situation? 

I negotiated my writing goals and audience expectations regarding conventions of genre, medium, and rhetorical situation by always critiquing writing styles constantly to make it as good as possible and making it so that the readers understand what I’m talking about. 

How you develop and engaged in collaborative and social aspects of writing processes? 

I developed and engaged in the collaborative and social aspects of writing processions by doing a good amount of group work with my group with Alex, Akifah, Diana, and Rudmila. They were amazing getting to know them and seeing the strengths and weaknesses we developed off of each other I have figured out with their help and edits to my writing pieces to formulate my new writing. The socializing aspect of writing pieces is sharing each other’s writing and changing it to sound good and formal that’s why they were good revisers because they told me what I needed to fix. But together as a group we created the grant proposal and finished it together within a good time while also having fun with the project. 

How you engaged in genre analysis and multimodal composing to explore effective writing across disciplinary contexts and beyond?

I engaged in genre analysis and multimodal composing to explore effective writing across disciplinary contexts and beyond by having examples from Professor Gandhi’s teaching and helped her guide me to read multimodal and composing the contexts behind it and fully understand it. Ms.Gandhi used an example from TDIS of a multimodal of the appliance and analyzed it I used her example and did the same method for my TDIS.

How you formulated and articulated a stance through and in your writing?

 I formulated and articulated a stance through and in your writing by mainly focusing on my strengths and weaknesses in my writing and formatting all of those into a piece with formal articulated writing and making sure it makes sense and the readers can read it and understand it. The resume is a great example of strengths and weaknesses because I had messed up my resume formulation and it didn’t make sense until I got someone to revise it. I took the time to understand the mistakes in the stance of my resume and changed it around towards the Format of the resume.

How you practiced using various library resources, online databases, and the internet to locate sources appropriate to your writing pieces?

I practiced using various library resources, online databases, and the internet to locate sources appropriate to my writing pieces for my group literature review we used the library resources and online databases to find information for our group work and to complete the work with the information with get from the databases to put together synthesis and summarizes. 

How you strengthened your source uses practices(including,

evaluating,intergrating,qutoing,paraphrasing,summaziring,sythesizing,analyzing and citing sources)? 

I Strengthened my sources using practicing by evaluating different types of writing pieces and formulating and summarizing/analyzing different types of writing and formulating things into my writing that I can use to be in my writing for my writing to be unique in a way for me and I have Professor Gandhi to thank overall for helping me with my writing.
